Wing-joint a later addition, subsequently repaired by “Giovanni Vincentini, Trento, 1891.” Further holes added to turn the instrument into a standard lamp.

Stehle, Johan.
Born in Würtenberg in 1809.
Settled in Vienna in 1840, and took over the workshop of Wolfgang Küss. He specialized in the making of bassoons and contrabassoons. He died in Vienna in 1871.
